I never knew it was so popular to make your town "perfect" (not in the sense of the in-game rating) and "manicured". Can you maybe give some insight as to why? My town looks nice, but it's a little more "natural" - no paths, no perfectly placed orchards...
there’s nothing wrong with that tho? people like those too
I feel you though, anon! I see so many people with super-lovely towns saying “oh well sorry my town isn’t nice!” because they don’t have intricately planned and laid-out paths and perfectly-placed PWPs and a hundred of every hybrid. like, yr town is so pretty shut up and stop comparing it to those really manicured ones. (and “manicured” is the perfect word, anon, it’s exactly how they feel to me! very pretty and nice to look at, and obviously a lot of work, but not for me!)
I think people feel pressure, because SO MANY people have used NL to make really planned-out and pretty towns and those are impressive so they get shared a LOT… so a lot of folks think that’s what you SHOULD be doing, but fuck that noise, make your town how you want!
but I’m with you, anon. I’ve always preferred “natural” looking towns. my WW town looks “boring” but it’s just how I want it. and the only reason I have paths in my NL town is so I can wear down a natural dirt path! so you’re definitely not the only one!
